Meet your new therapist, Shelby!

My approach to our collaboration: I can’t wait to get to know you and hear your story from your POV. I use an anti-oppressive, antiracist-trauma-informed, identity-affirming approach to therapy. I’m empathic and bring my authentic self to our work. I'm a naturally curious and reflective person with a strong desire for learning and growing. I'm dedicated to treating people with respect, authenticity, and compassion while also maintaining cultural humility and accountability, and avoiding perpetuating the harm that systems in power inflict on exploited populations.

We’ll co-create a space where you feel understood and cared for. We’ll boost your skills, self-compassion, and resiliency and foster a stronger relationship with your Self.

Me and Jacob Wysocki at Dropout Live in Boston in January 2025 — if you know who he is, yay! If you don’t, I forgive you ;)

About me: I’m a Gemini ☀️ & 🌙 and a Virgo ⤴️. I’m a righty, an Empath, a late-bloomer queer (in sexuality and gender), and an outgoing introvert. ADHD is one of my superpowers. I love tattoos and have lost count of how many I have. Dropout and cozy YouTubers are my comfort food. I’m mamma to three cats (who occasionally make appearances in sessions!).

How I find ease: Working out (I looove Peloton strength classes); practicing yoga and meditation (when I remember to!); cooking; playing video games (Stardew; Fallout 4; Starfield) and D&D (currently playing as aTiefling Sorcerer, a Half-Elf Druid Monk, and a Fairy Bard; all chaotic good); and reading non-fiction and memoirs. I enjoy shooting 35mm photography and making pottery, too — I love the slowing down these hobbies offer!

Here’s one of my favorite film photos:

bb Axel! He’s a very playful and loving cat who enjoys waking me up at 5am for cheek rubs.

Mula (“Moo”/“Moomoos”) is our big boy (16lbs and long!), a shy, loving, gentle giant!
